The A. Avloni National Institute for Pedagogical Mastery invites qualified translators to collaborate on a contractual basis for the adaptation and translation of PIRLS 2026 assessment materials (15,900 characters) into Uzbek, Russian, and Karakalpak languages, as well as for the translation of the “PIRLS 2026 Assessment Frameworks” (71 pages) into Uzbek.

Positions Offered:

– Translators (Uzbek, Russian, and Karakalpak languages)

Requirements:

– Higher education and at least 1 year of relevant professional experience;
– Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in linguistics, translation, or foreign languages;
– Excellent command of language pairs: English–Uzbek, English–Russian, English–Karakalpak;
– Proficiency in computer skills and modern translation software;
– Ability to maintain terminological consistency and manage terminology databases;
– Skills in translation quality control and error correction.

– Openness to innovation and creative thinking;
– Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure;
– Initiative and a creative approach to assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:

– Translate assessment materials using the specialized platform provided by the international organization;
– Adapt translated texts and ensure fluency and readability;
– Maintain consistency and terminological accuracy throughout the translation process;
– Perform final editing of translated materials;
– Ensure accuracy and clarity of the translated content.
