Abduvali Ismailov, Rector of the Abdulla Avloniy National Institute of Pedagogical Excellence, met with Tomasz Gajderowicz, Deputy Director of Poland’s Educational Research Institute (IBE PIB).

In addition to coordinating international studies such as PISA, PIRLS, TIMSS and TALIS in Poland, IBE PIB currently plays a key role in implementing the “Reforma26” education reform through research and evidence-based approaches.

The following issues were discussed at the meeting:
➖ applying the findings of international studies to teacher professional development;
➖ researching the professional development of teachers and school leaders;
➖ developing research-based professional development programs and joint randomized controlled trials (RCTs);
➖ sharing experience in scientific and methodological support for education reforms.

At the end of the meeting, the two institutes signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding cooperation in joint research, international exchange of experience, and the professional development of teachers.
