Professor Axel Gehrmann, Director of the Centre for Teacher Education and Educational Research on Schools and Vocational Education at TU Dresden, Germany, and Dr Peggy Germer, Head of Department, visited the Abdulla Avloni Institute.

A meeting was held between the German guests and Abduvali Ismailov, Rector of the Institute, and relevant representatives. 

The meeting addressed the following areas:

➖ Teacher education and professional development;

➖ Research priorities;

➖ Development of research centres;

➖ Exchange of experience;

➖ Exploring and implementing international best practices.

The participants also exchanged views on expanding scientific cooperation in educational research, implementing joint projects and identifying promising areas for future collaboration. 

During the meeting, both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation and discussed plans for future activities. The German partners also invited representatives of the Institute to visit TU Dresden.

At the end of the meeting, the guests were given a comprehensive overview of the Abdulla Avloniy Memorial Museum, the Institute’s library, the JALINGA studio, and the STEAM Centre, as well as ongoing initiatives to enhance the professional development of teaching staff.
