It evaluates their knowledge of the history of the discipline’s formation and development, its general concepts and methodological issues, primary sources, and the main theoretical and practical problems in this field. The program also determines the extent to which candidates have mastered the available material, scientific literature (including foreign periodicals), and contemporary research methods.
